Thomas Catholic Church Mossel Bay was built as a chapel in 1868. The
sanctuary and bell tower were added later. One of the first Catholic
Masses in South Africa, was celebrated in 1488 when Bartholomew Dias
landed. A small chapel was built by the Portuguese sailors in 1501.

Peter's Anglican Church Mossel Bay was dedicated in 1879. The sanctuary
with it's beautiful stained glass window and impressive steeple were
added in 1906.

Mark's Anglican Cathedral George was built in 1849 and in 1911 became a Cathedral
when the Diocese of George was constituted (possibly the smallest Cathedral
in the world).
The Cathedral with it's superb stained glass windows is a fine example
of a building dedicated to the honor and glory of God.

Peter & Paul Catholic Church George was built in 1842 and is the
oldest Catholic Church in South Africa. A Feature of this church are the
beautiful stained glass windows.
The
George Presbyterian Church was opened and dedicated on 11th April 1934.
This fine church is situated on a lovely property in Caledon Street near the
centre of town

Anthony's Catholic Church Sedgefield was built in 1986 by the Pallotine
Order. Two striking blue stained glass windows depict giant angles
announcing the Good News - to the Virgin Mary in the Annunciation and to
the shepherds in the field outside Bethlehem.

Boniface Catholic Church Knysna was built in 1950. The sanctuary has
four lovely stained glass windows depicting the Annunciation, Nativity, Crucifixion
and Resurrection of Jesus.

George's Anglican Church Knysna was concecrated in 1937. A striking
feature about this lovely stone church is the use of the local stinkwood
for the hand carved screen, the lectern, pulpit, choir stalls and
reredos behind the altar. Stinkwood is one of the most beautiful of
South Africa's indigenous timbers.

Peter's Anglican Church Plettenberg Bay. The first service was held in
this sturdy little stone church in 1881. The lovely stained glass
windows add colour and beauty to the fine craft of the stonemason.
